Paintings
I have always enjoyed creating art, however one of my favorite mediums is painting. Over the years I have become much more confident in my ability, which has made me a better artist. Kaikoura
Acrylic painting inspired from the mountains and ocean of Kaikoura, New Zealand (2023).
Skull
A monochromatic acryclic painting of a skull on a canvas (2019).
Orange, Pink, Green
Three images were composed from different magazines then were recreated using acrylic paints on paper (2021).
Grey Marble
Part of a texture series. Painted on a smooth wood base. Materials that were used are charcoal pencil, water base paint, and a newspaper (2022).
Green Marble
Part of a texture series. Painted on a smooth wood base. Materials that were used are different water based paints and a newspaper (2022).
Black & Gold Marble
Part of a texture series. Painted on a smooth wood base. Materials used are different water based paints and alcohol mixture (2022).
Brick Wall
Part of a texture series. Painted on a smooth wood base. A foam brick and a plastic stencil was made for helping the layout. Several colors of water based painted were used for the individual bricks and background. A sharpie was used to create shadows (2022).
French Wallpaper
Part of a texture series. Painted on a sheet of canvas. A small reference photo was chosen then placed on a project to get the main shaped down on parchment paper. Using a tracing wheel and charcoal bag to transfer onto the canvas. Used only one shade of maroon paint to add in features (2022).
Wood Panel
Part of a texture series. Painted on a smooth wood base. A ruler and sharpie were used to create the wood panel. A brown paint, block of wood, and a metal comb were used for the wood texture lines (2022).
Aged Paint
Part of a texture series. Painted on a smooth wood base. Background color was muddy up using a water down paint. A square wood block used to add in the red paint texture (2022).
Peeling Paint
Part of a texture series. Painted on a smooth wood base. Materials used are a water based paint with glue (2002).
Frosted Glass
Part of a texture series. Painted on a plastic sheet. Different types of glue and clear paints (2022).
Theater Scrim
Tested out the material of scrim for the theater department. Freehanded white paint on a black scrim (2022).
Old Dry Wall
Part of a texture series Painted on a smooth wooden base. Materials used were recycled paper, glue, and different muted water based paints (2022).
Red on Water
Painted on a canvas using acrylic paints. A simple umbrella in a shallow body of water (2021).
